Don’t you just want to shout out and cheer for God? Give a great big hoo-rah for the beautiful sunrise, the blessing of children, or the promotion at work? Well, now you can with your very own #1 “foam” finger! How fun is this going to be?
Ephesians 4:4-6 says, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Wow. Bet you want to cheer now! Team Jesus! Go, go, go! He’s #1!
- one copy of each finger picture Ephesians 4
- crayons, scissors, glue
- a tablecloth because you know glue gets messy
- a lot of cheerleader spirit
I always try to minimize paper use, but this craft needs two pieces. Mine is on yellow because there is a white paper shortage here and yellow was handy. The kids still had fun decorating their finger. So, how do you put it together? First, color it. Color the Team Jesus side and then the BACK of the side where it says glue. Next cut the fingers out and the square with the verse. You can have the kiddos highlight all the ‘one’ words in the verse if you want. Apply glue and pop the top one on top of the glue. Glue on the verse, let it set a bit, and then wave those fingers and give a cheer for Jesus!
This hand should be bigger than most little kids hands, so it should be fun to make and for them to wear. Have fun with it. If you have a few minutes left, see who can create the best cheer. Here’s mine (to the tune of the Be Aggressive cheer which is the only one I remember from high school games):
Be for Jesus
Be for Jesus
B-e f-o-r J-e-s-u-s Yeah!
